Thank you, Michele Bachmann

For reminding us of the dangers of McCarthyism.
For inspiring a million dollars worth of investment in your opponent’s campaign.
For erasing any doubt about the impending electoral landslide.
For giving Sarah Palin a break from the media spotlight.
For putting a public face to all the neo-conservative whack jobs who might otherwise fly under the radar.

Thank you for being so completely batshit crazy as to effectively give the election to the Democrats this year. I’m almost feeling sorry for the Republicans, things are falling apart so quickly and so thoroughly. Almost.

    “…completely batshit crazy…”
Perfect description but I’m too pissed off to feel sorry about their self-generated implosion.

    Great post!

My favorite part is that she won’t shut up about it. She’s taking every opportunity to get in front of a camera and make lame excuses, like how she “stepped into a trap” and how she’s never watched Hardball, etc.

    I don’t think she’s crazy, but I do believe she’s fairly stupid.

Stepped into a trap?! What a crock-o-crap. He asked her over and over and she repeated the stock line over and over.

She has no business in any business except one that asks “Do you want fries with that?”

I thought the Republican party could offer better candidates than the likes of Bachman. I bet they’re regretting their choice now. I’m guessing McCain is also. Our choices define who we are.

I heard that Bachmann has also had increased campaign donations since her performance on Hardball. Now THAT’s really disturbing.

I’m not surprised she’s getting more donations. She’s the victim here. She stepped into a trap, you know. It was those liberal media elites, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, who raised over a million dollars for her opponent. Obviously, that was the plan from the beginning.
